Fish Fish and more fish. Did the 2 for 1 last nite and had Utah Trout and Horseradish Crusted Salmon. Both delicious and the service wonderful. Now I must admit it was after Labor Day so only a few customers in the place. I have eaten there last summer on the patio and the food was good. The service was up to par considering the place was packed. So all in all it is for sure a step above average and deserving of it's 4 stars. I'll be back next year during ski season. The Food Man

Very well executed comfort food! Windy Ridge is a wonderful local restaurant. It's a bit off the beaten path, but that only adds to the casual, welcoming environment. This is a regular spot for me. Service is good. The bread and dipping sauce they give you when you sit down is worth the visit alone! So good. There are some consistently delicious menu items and some a bit more average. My favorites would be the tilapia (I'm not sure it was talapia but definitely a whitefish) sandwich and the ribs. The fish sandwich is among the best I've ever had, and thankfully it's consistently so! The ribs are also near the top of my experience. I found the meatloaf just kinda there. It certainly reminds me of home, but maybe a little too much so... I've had a few other items here but it's probably been too long ago to review. The cocktails are better than average but not excellent. This is one of, if not my, favorite of the Bill White restaurants. It's less overpriced than his Main Street locations however, location, atmosphere and the food makes it worth it on an occasional basis. Of course, even the budget-minded may relax with some of the specials offered.

Not a big fan of this place. The complimentary bread and sauce was good, but my santa fe salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with a few toppings mixed in between, and the dressing was watered down, flavorless and just tasted spicy. I much rather prefer the salad at cafe rio which is half the price. My husband did enjoy his peppered steak though. Way overpriced for what they offer in my opinion.
Went there today for the first time and sadly have to admit: not impressed at all !!! I ordered my burger well done, said it multiple times. When the food arrived, burger was red and mash potatoes were cold, not warm nor hot. When I ask for my check, they placed it on my table and as I was putting the money in, I was ask twice: can I take this from you????. They are definitely better restaurants here in PC without rush service. Very disappointed !!

Good food, we came early and were seated quickly and received our food quickly. Our waiter forgot about us after that. But someone else came by and got us a check. Food portions are a good size, maybe a little large for some people. Menu doesn't have dozens of options, but the food we ordered (salad, meatloaf and macaroni and cheese) was all pretty good and satisfying.

Beautifully landscaped patio, dog-friendly, great food. The Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich on homebaked sourdough was outstanding, It is made with thick slices of roasted turkey, perfectly crisped bacon and the freshest avocado. DH loved the Trout, as well.

Service was very slow, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. .ehhhhh.. the chicken was way undercooked on hard bread, The french fries were cold and hard, they sucked! I WOULD NOT recommend this place. There are way better restaurants and options in Park city!!!!

I have a weakness for fries.... and this place did not disappoint. They sprinkle them with a cajun seasoning and serve them with ranch and spicy fry sauce... move over 5 guys. I enjoyed the kale salad with raspberries and blueberries. I added chicken, it was a bit to dry. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the beauty of Park City. Service was great and friendly staff!

I recommend Windy Ridge Cafe as part of any relaxing day in Park City. The food is very good and reasonably priced. It never comes quick, but I don't really want it to because they have such a nice patio to enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air. Taco Tuesdays are a well done here. The whole menu transforms to tasty taco options. I've also had their sandwiches and burgers. It is also close to a bakery that does great pastries to finish off your meal.

I love this restaurant and it hurts me to write this review. I called Windy Ridge on a Friday at 7pm to place a to go order for 10 people. When I called a gentleman named Seth answered and told me to "call back in 45 minutes because they were too busy to take to go orders." I have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER heard a restaurant say this to me ever in my entire life. I have lived in San Francisco for 6 years, the number one food capital in the US and have never encountered this type of response before. This is the first time I have heard a restaurant refuse a to go order and I am shocked. My question is to the management: how do you allow your staff to say this to their customers? Especially to loyal customers who know how good your corn chowder, mushroom soup, windy ridge salad, meatloaf, etc. are. I hope this is a fluke and never happens again because I will be sure to notify our neighbors in Park City of this atrocious customer service. At the very least Seth could have told me the order would have taken an hour to prepare. Ridiculous.

Taco Tuesday was great! This is a great find! Sit on the patio while enjoying the guitar player! The drinks and tacos are inexpensive, the atmosphere is lively and the service was great. Save room for the key lime pie!

Nice taco Tuesday. Fish tacos were good. But being from SoCal it's quite athentico. Good guacamole but chips not fresh. Nice outdoor patio and tacos are $2 and $2.50 for fish.

Poor service. Waiter seemed not to care. Food service slow. Food is mediocre.and came out at different times.
We had a great experience at Windy Ridge. We went following a bike ride and sat on the patio, which was nice. The ambience was really cute and inviting. The server was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Food was good and filling. I had the salmon which was tasty, but a little salty. Sweet potato fries were great.

Let me say, I have always been a fan of Windy Ridge. We made it a point to go every time we were in town and must have ordered two dozen family meals to go in between our visits to the restaurant. Our favorite was actually the salmon dinner which came with a great green salad, steamed vegetables, amazing bread and the best pasta salad I've ever had! All of this for $26 (and we even got grandkids to eat salmon and pasta). We have now moved here to Park City and called this evening to place an order and was so disappointed to find that they have now replaced the pasta salad with potato salad (yuk), no longer include the steamed vegetables and it now costs $30! In addition, the girl on the phone was very short with my husband, acting very irritated that she had to explain the change and basically, very rudely rushed him off the phone. I'll have to say, we won't be back!

Been to Windy Ridge a few times. Once for the ever famous, Taco Tuesday and again with family Fourth of July weekend. Taco Tuesday provided a fun atmosphere, with love music. It was very casual. My only complaint was that the menu waste rally just tacos. I went more for my husband then me, but expected there was more to the menu. When we went this last time there was no wait for inside, but we waited a long time to be greeted, get drinks and receive our food. With three toddlers this was a little hard to deal with, though they did alright. I had the french dip and was not pleased with the "dip" as it had no flavor. And I love some good french dip. Fun, casual atmosphere, with decent food.

Nothing special. Service was nice enough, but drinks and food were "meh." We had a pretty gross spinach salad to start, and not-great burger and Reuben. House baked breads were nice, though. It's inexpensive compared to other PC restaurants, but the offerings and setting just weren't interesting or particularly high quality.

Honesty Appreciated! I had lunch here on Sunday. We had a salad and Rueben. Service and food were good but what was even better was the honesty of the staff. During lunch I took my Jawbone off (fitness tracker)... I forgot to put it back on and only realized it was missing at 6pm. I called the restaurant and was told that they had it. I was grateful to be able to receive it back. Honesty is such a virtue. The bracelet could have easily been replaced but I had already logged quite a bit of activity on it. And the fact they still had it and was waiting for a call made me appreciate this restaurant so much more. I come here once a month for travel - I enjoy their food and service. I also frequent their other restaurant Chimayo to take my clients there for dinner. Always a hit. Thank you so much! See you next time I am in town.

The food is fine but the service is hit or miss. The server was very rude and barely spoke to us until she saw that the yelp app was open on my phone. Then she was the nicest person in the world! I had the chicken panini and it was good but the flavors were quite strong. The sweet potato fries were very very good though!!!

I can't say enough good things about this establishment. The food is excellent, the service is quick and they are dog friendly! I found the Windy Ridge through a website that offers suggestions on dog friendly businesses and I'm so glad we did! Thank you for a lovely lunch from myself, my husband, and our fur kids.

First visit to Windy Ridge Cafe. Food was excellent! Burgers were great and the bacon was huge. Blackened Talapia was delicious and fresh. The kids ordered Root Beer floats which came with cookies too. Overall, it was a very good experience and the service was solid. Will definitely come back.

We met friends here for dinner last week. Each of us ordered something different (greek salad with chicken, open-faced turkey dinner, Salmon (fabulous!!), tortilla soup) and we all thought our dinners were awesome! Then we ordered a slice of apple pie and a slice of berry pie to share and let me tell you they are great. I had been to Windy Ridge for breakfast before, but not for dinner. We will be back! Highly recommend.

Taco tuesday is the jam! Went with a group of 12. there is definitly a long wait for a group that size since it's no reservations on tursdays. Outside would have taken forever.... but worth the wait! Had a blast, service was awesome, atmosphere was chill

Corn chowder was unbelievable. Explosive flavor & made my tastebuds dance. Service was on point. We even had a quick visit from the chef. The only thing I would suggest is improving the coleslaw. Otherwise, restaurant exceeded all expectations.

Love everything about this restaurant. I've been there several times. The mushroom soup is to die for...it's incredible. I love getting the House Salad with Grilled Salmon - absolutely delicious. I've also had the ribs. Also amazing. The Rainbow Trout is delicious. We love this place so much we even get the take out Family meals. It's a ton of food and the price is great. We've done the Chicken and the Meatloaf...both are awesome. Pretty much everything is great. The service is great. They are extra sweet to my Toddler. The outdoor patio is great for sunny days. I also may be a bit favoring because I'm 39 and they ID'd me...twice!!!!

Had the Utah red trout entree last night, by far one of the best I've had in a while!! So much so that I'm going back again tonight!
Food is very good, comfort food. Nothing fancy but very tasty. Service is just okay though. Our server was very friendly but very slow with everything and the restaurant wasn't busy at all while we were there. Nice stop after a day of driving and hiking through the mountains.

In SLC on business and found this place on Yelp while heading back from rafting. I was greeted immediately and seated outside on the patio. I could hear the soothing sound of water while and had to laugh when I looked for the water feature and it was an old claw foot tub. A couple of patrons had lap dogs with them as well, so this place is definitely dog friendly. I loved the landscaping. Eclectic Mix of flowers succulents and trees. The first thing to catch my eye was the table tent advertising $2 mimosas all day sat & sun. Though not a mimosa drinker, this is a deal you can't beat! Based on other reviews, I tried the white sangria, which had mango, pineapple and orange juices mixed with Pinot, vodka and some fresh chunks of cherries, limes and oranges. The presentation was beautiful. Full of color with a refreshing taste to match. The Southwestern Corn Chowder was creamy and flavorful without being too rich or overwhelming. Nice residual heat. Probably one of the best chowders I have ever had. All the while the wind was gently blowing through the trees. It was a fantastic place to relax for the afternoon and all for a whopping $13.00 + tax. Can't beat it!!

Arrived at 3:20 pm and all they have Is an in between menu until dinner at five, Which has all of about eight items on it. First time ever to a restaurant in my life that doesn't serve a full menu during the day or cover their lunch menu up until dinner, won't be back!!!!

Food - GREAT. Service - BLAH. Now i'm not one to normally complain about service, because that really depends on everyone's individual experience, but this time around was just horrible. Well, horrible may be to rough of a word..... our waitress just never came and checked on us. Hell, the bus boy came 3 times to clear our plates..... our waitress came 2 times - 1) when she took our order. 2) when the bill needed to be paid. no "can i get you another beer".... no "want me to fill up your very empty glass of water" no " how is everything" The food is great. I had the Yellow fin tuna steak with steamed spinach - and that was excellent. Wine selection is also impressive.

I am such a fan of Windy Ridge. Why? CONSISTENCY. We go there at least twice a month and the food is always rock solid and the service is good. Today I had the BLT (no mayo, add avocado) with a side of greens. The order came just the way I wanted it and was quick to boot. Perfect for a weekday lunch.

I found it slightly irritating that there was a 12 item menu at 3pm during the transition from lunch to dinner. Maybe this is bc it is slow season? Pros: Great, fast service. Cream of Mushroom soup was great. Burger-okay, could have been seasoned a little more, nothing special to it. Cons: Sweet Potato Fries with no specific dipping sauce-this has become a common thing that really bugs me-if you're going to have sweet potato fries on a menu you should have a dipping sauce to serve with them. Waiter suggested their "fry sauce", it was okay, but wasn't intended to be sweet potato fry specific.

Great Taco Tuesday with live music on the outdoor patio. Our favorite summer activity is to Mountain Bike on Tuesday evenings then cruise into Windy Ridge for Taco Tuesday for $4 Margaritas and cheap tacos. The tacos are decent but the ambiance is the best in town, with trees, shade and water features. I always run into people I know and the musician is great - guitar and harmonica from Neil Young to Bob Marley. While you are waiting for a table, they have picnic tables with a waitress who comes right over and takes your drink order. Once seated, service is prompt and the food comes out quick even though it is packed. As for dog owners, they sometimes allow dogs during lunch if not busy on the patio, but it's too crowded to bring them on Taco Tuesdays unless you tie them up on the outside of the fence.

I have to start this off stating that my wife and I are goodies, and appreciate everything from a great taco stand to a fine dining boutique experience. We went here during the Christmas break in Dec 2011, and had a decent experience. First off, the Food was ok. My mother in law's pasta was overcooked and soggy, my burger was great, but my brother in law' was almost raw. Out table was just plagued with service errors such as apps not coming until after the table next to us ( who were seated after our orders were placed) had their food! We asked to see if it was ready, and it was, it was just no longer freshly prepared... Aka had been sitting around a bit. Then the burger came out a cold red for a medium well done meat. The food would have been decent, but had no chance of being anything near great. It's certainly a step above a chain like a Chilis, but not much better. Service wise, they were simply outstanding. The manager took the raw burger off e bill, and comped us all deserts with out any requests from any of us, we were nothing but polite and understanding, but he was clearly concerned with customer satisfaction. Overall, the food was ok. The price was low for a resort town in the middle of a peak week, and although our server was less than perfect, the manager truly wanted to satisfy us. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but I do not expect anything more than a decent meal at a reasonable price ( for a resort town).

Went to Windy Ridge for lunch yesterday. Met friends from DC - they waited for me - and then we waited, and waited, and waited before our overworked waiter finally took our order. He did bring our food on by, and a "floating" employee asked if all was okay. Then we waited, and waited, before our bill came. Don't go if you have other things to do. Re: food - it was okay. I had the chicken panini with sun-dried tomatoes. $12 was a bit steep for the portion size. Oh, and it did come with some "greens" on the side. I live here, in PC, and will say that the Bakery is a 5 star. Windy Ridge needs to get it together. Re: Linn B. l Last time I ate there was during Sundance and I was with a large large group. Prime Rib was ordered - and I agree with you. Very over cooked and oversalted. I figured it was due to the "busy night". I think it is hit or miss. My guess - two chefs. One is good, the other not so good.

On the food I would give this place a 5 star...I had a Eggs Benedict with salmon instead of bacon...fantastic! I learned later when I went back to get it again, I was told by the waitstaff that was a special that day and not on the menu...it should be a regular item, guys! The out door sitting is great, if you like to have really no great view of the ski mountians and sit prcitcally right on the street albeit a sidestreet but still, I prefer not to have traffic always in my view. The waitstaff? not really the friendliest...sorry Windy, but true. Crank up the smile factor a few notches. The food is very good. I just wish the salmon Benedict would come back..it was fixed very well, the sauce was excellent and the eggs cooked excatly how I like them. Themain reason I don't frequent this place is it just doesn't feel welcoming. more of a local hang out for the Park City 'ites. The out door sitting is beautifully decked out with loads of potted flowers and plants...I guess to help diffuse the traffic issue, and it does the trick. Umbrealls to make you feel relaxed as your eat your breakfast and ease into you upcoming day. I thougt it was a bit pricey.

I live right down the street from this place and as much as I want to love it, I just don't. There really is nothing special about this place. I mean sure the deck is nice and it's not super expensive but that's about it. I'd say give Silver Star Cafe a shot before you try Windy Ridge. Just a way nicer atmospher, better food, and similar price point.

Manager and staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food is always good and consistent. Mimosas on Sunday are wonderful and a great price! This is our favorite place to eat in Park City and we live here. Really wish they would have not changed the corn chowder...." Fantastic outside patio in the summer and taco Tuesday specials start in May!!!
Windy Ridge is a good alternative food option if you're looking to get off Main Street. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating - you'll rarely have to wait for a table (Tuesday's being the exception). Taco Tuesdays is the biggest thing going at Windy Ridge. If you're there after 6:00 you'll probably have to wait for 30+ minutes. The food is generally high quality. My favorites are the sliders and the Ruben, with onion rings. My wife likes the mushroom soup. The bakery is first class and a good option if you are in town for thanksgiving and want home made pies and sides like mashed potatoes and stuffing. It's in a different building across the parking lot out back. Although food is good, the prices are pretty high for dining in this part of town. And, the ambiance is better suited to lunch rather than dinner.

Park City, like any resort town, can provide good food if you're willing to spend big bucks. Our challenge when traveling is finding good food for small bucks. Windy Ridge Cafe fit the bill. We went with the kiddos for a Sunday brunch (they don't actually call it brunch, but you can order off the breakfast or lunch menu). We sat on the patio and had wonderful service. Definitely try the famous corn chowder. It was savory and sweet at the same time, just delicious. The boy said his Eggs Benedict were the best he has ever had. My husband was hankering for an omelette, which was not out of the ordinary in any way but it fit the bill. Behind the restaurant in a separate building is a bakery where you can pick up some tasty treats to enjoy later. Check out the day-old stuff on the half price shelf.

Love this place! The southwest corn chowder is NOT to be missed!!!! We eat here every year when we visit in the summer and the winter. It does get crowded sometimes and service can be a bit slow, but never bad and always well worth it!

In this ski town with lots of choices to eat you do not have to stretch your credit card to have a decent meal, good atmosphere and good service. Windy Ridge Cafe is not on the tourist drag Main Street so its prices are not inflated. More than one local recommended it so we checked it out. Off the plane from LA mid day Sunday we went straight there for a mid day meal. The manager greeted us "playfully" welcoming us warmly with a jocular attitude that my wife particularly enjoyed. Seated promptly, menus brought, drinks order taken, we were soon sipping ice teas while some others were enjoying Marmosas ( sp) in the post church attire. But others were just in casual clothes. Perusing the menu we noticed a special four dinner take out item with six choices for $26. Dinner for four? $26 Park City? Later this week we ordered the roast Turkey dinners for take out giving my wife a break from cooking. The left overs were my son's airplane meal back to DC. I digress. I ordered the house salad and the corn chowder ( surprised the chef cooks the tortillas "down" to thicken the chowder) which was had an interesting South West tinge to it. It met my vegetarian needs nicely. Lightly dressed. Perfect. Son had the meatloaf. He loved it and he is a very fussy eater. Turns out the meatloaf and Turkey open face! items are house favorites so due to popular demand they added them to both menus. Oh yeah, did I mention there is a great bakery on site and worth the visit on its own merits. The macaroon chocolate cookies? also Coffee is excellent here. One lunch, one dinner and one take out evening at Windy Ridge this ski week was consistently good. we had three meals that we didnt have to prepare along with money left over for lift tickets at Deer Valley and their fabulous salad bar but that's for another review. Family, couple, brunch after church, affordable and a superb bakery on site. i can recommend this restaurant.:

Enjoyed the Southwestern Corn Chowder and white sangria, as recommended by others. Tuesday is Taco Tuesday, and they have a limited menu focused on...tacos. And a few other Mexican-style dishes. The place is packed, so come early or expect to wait. Lovely outdoor patio, nice variety on the menu. They accommodated several special requests, and the wait staff was very friendly.

As a Park City local I am a frequent Windy Ridge diner and I am always satisfied. I have eaten the majority of the items on the lunch menu and all are good, but I definitely have some recommendations. I love the chopped salad, I prefer it without the cheese. I also often order and thoroughly enjoy the turkey reuben (the Rachel), the turkey, avocado and swiss, and the tuna melt. If you have not dined at Windy Ridge before you cannot leave without trying the onion rings and the corn chowder, both are out of this world. In response to another comment, the bakery moved out of the restaurant to a much larger space in the parking lot behind the restaurant. The cookies and to go items are still amazing.

Had terrible service there more than once several years ago, so stopped going. Recently a group of 10 chose this place for dinner. Service was fine, so decided to try it again. Went for a late lunch (between 1:30 and 2:00) during Sundance. Was not crowded, but our server could not have been more rude. My two friends and I are in the service industry. We are not demanding and extremely polite. He basically shot daggers at us throughout lunch. The next night we went to Sammy's and were treated like royalty.

Windy ridge is a step up from other casual lunch and dinner places in park city. The food is always very tasty. I recently enjoyed a hot turkey sandwich with berry aoli that was amazing! My boyfriend had the meatloaf, which was also very good. If you can, get something that takes advantage of the bakery they have (located behind the restaurant). I would give this four stars, but the restaurant is in desperate need of a facelift. Everything is dated and the restaurant has a poor layout. This could be one if the best casual dining places in town if they stepped up the vibe.

Sat on the patio here this afternoon and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The food took awhile to come out, but I was quite happy with my asian noodle salad once it arrived. And my dad raved about his chopped salad as well...he especially loved the cheese in there! And after our lunch we headed to the bakery in the back. And whoa...these desserts looked good! There was so much to choose from, but my heart was set on the flourless chocolate cake. The woman who rang us up told us there was no way my dad and I could finish a piece of cake this rich, but she didn't know who she was dealing with! To be honest this piece of gooey delicious chocolate heaven was too rich to eat it all, but the pressure was on...and so we finished it! Felt kind of nauseous all afternoon from such rich chocolate, but this wouldn't stop me from ordering it again...although not sure I'll be eating the entire piece next time!

Had a really great dinner at Windy Ridge Cafe. We were a party of 10 with kids from 4 to 13 and 6 adults. Service was great from the moment we were warmly greeted at the door to our friendly waiter, Sam. He gave us great drink and food recommendations, brought our drinks quickly, and checked frequently to see if we needed more drinks or anything else. We all ordered different things and everything, from the bacon mac and cheese to the ribs to the turkey to the goat cheese pizza was delicious! Oh - and the blood orange margaritas and hot apple jack drinks were great!

My friend Dick absolutely insisted that we come for lunch, and I'm glad we did. We ordered one each of the two reuben sandwiches (turkey and corned beef were the choices) and got one with fries and one with a green salad. We split everything and got iced teas as drinks. Everything was delicious. We were seated on the outdoor patio, which is a great place to hang out and take in the scenery and passers-by. This was definitely a four-star experience. Then I noticed the menus on the table: Taco Tuesdays! Well, it was Tuesday, and the tacos menu looked pretty good. In addition, it was major cheap -- we're talking $2 tacos in Park City. This menu is served starting at 5PM every Tuesday; I decided to come back for dinner! A group of 7 of us showed up at 7:30 PM. Guess what? The place was packed! There was a live jazz combo on the patio. Tacos were flying everywhere, and there were plenty of margaritas too. The hostess told us that we'd be seated in about 20 minutes. That often indicates a 1-hour wait, but we were actually seated in less than 20 minutes! We ordered a ton of food and drink. Our meals came pretty quickly, and everything was pretty good. I ended up getting the "special": half a rotisserie chicken with a side of pinto beans and three tortillas. The price? $8! I drank two margaritas @ $3.50. Even with tax and a 20% tip (added on by the server because we were a large group), I was a tad under $20. I honestly think that the dinner was only a 3-star affair if you don't focus on the low price. However, the quality-price ratio was definitely right up there, so I'm inclined to rate this dinner around 3 1/2. Now average in the 4-star lunch and we come to a 3 3/4-star rating. Conclusion: if you're visiting PC, do not miss this place!!

This is a failure of yelp! Over time yelp has never went so far wrong as they did with Windy Ridge. We went on a Friday night and they had the Prime Rib special. It was over cooked, the tea was old(the waiter was rude when it was sent back). One of the group had the Southwestern corn chowder. It was horrid, the only thing that was even decent was his chicken which was dry and over cooked, but edible. I advise you to pass on Windy Ridge when in Park City.

This is my favorite place to just chill and have some excellent food without the Main St crowd. The soups are delicious! The homemade breads yummm and the Blackened Tilapia Sandwich on roasted garlic focaccia is to die for! Defiantly worth the $.

I must have come on an off night. Prime rib was tough. Medium rare and medium looked identical. Had the halibut and it's definitely been frozen for quite some time. Best thing was the twice baked potato that comes as a side and the bread pudding was quite good. But not enough to counter balance the disappointing entrees.

We've been going to Windy Ridge for a long time as we visit Park City several times a year. We've always loved it, for its creative menu, fabulous execution and top notch service. Last week, we visited on Friday night at 8pm and had a very disappointing experience. We were a group of six adults - we had all been there several times and were looking forward to it. The place was lively but in no way packed to capacity. We arrived around 8 pm. It took more than 20 minutes after we were seated to get the attention of anyone to place a drink order. Much longer to finally order and we had to request bread for the table. Everything was similarly slow to arrive and our waitress was MIA, not present when food was being delivered. No one came around to refill water glasses. The waitress made a quick entrance to make certain we had all gotten our entrees then disappeared again. I ordered a chicken dish that was raw in spots. Other entrees were just not executed well. One woman went to use the restroom, had to wait at least ten minutes as someone was inside - and was surprised to discover that it was an employee occupying it AND who left it "a mess". Meanwhile, much of the restaurant was emptying out so we finally flagged down a staff member to find our waitress. We were looking forward to coffee and dessert. Another ten minutes and finally the waitress shows up, drops the check on the table and leaves. We didn't say a word, just paid the bill and went to another spot on Main Street for coffee and dessert. Too bad for Windy Ridge, because that surely would added at least another fifty dollars to the menu, and who knows how much more if anyone had bothered to ask if we wanted seconds on our drinks (beer and cocktails). We're not a rowdy group, just love to ski, eat good food and enjoy some cocktails with dinner. There's too many fun and engaging places around Park City to have a restaurant perform this poorly on a Friday night in the height of ski season.

Had the best bacon burger in recent memory with onion rings, and quite possibly the the ranch dressing I've ever tasted (and ive had some great ranch!). Every bite was decadent, was definitely an amazing experience. only negative was the price with all sides plus tax 3 burgers came out to $65! But that appears to be the norm in Park City.

This place is hidden from the most people but it is a really good little place. It has a great patio (which we sat in but got rained out and had to move inside). The food was good. My family shared a fresh fruit plate in addition to our meals and it was good and the fruit was fresh. The service was good as well, especially considering the chaos of moving several people indoors that were on the patio. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is cost. I KNOW...this is Park city...it's supposed to be expensive. Although I loved my turkey sandwich and fries, $12.99 is just a tad steep. I really wanted to try the corn chowder but at $6.99 a bowl and then the cheapest salad at $9.99...I just wasn't ready to plop down $17 for soup and salad. We were there on a Thursday at lunch.

Went here for lunch. It was VERY good. Would definitely come back next time we are in town. The clementine cocktail I ordered was so delicious I'm going to try to recreate it at home. Definitely recommend.

I love this place. It is by far the best lunch place in Park City for an upper end casual sit down eating experience. The menu is varied and I have tried almost everything on the menu. Nothing is average...every option is at least quite tasty if not excellent. The waitstaff is a bit hit or miss...some are very friendly and others bring to the table a Park City waitstaff attitude (read: I am doing you a favor by bringing you food). Eating outside during the summer is a must when visiting Park City or entertaining clients.

Park City does not have enough mid-priced restaurants. Nestled safely away from Main Street, I have eaten here about 12 times over the past 5 years, and it's consistently great. The ambiance is a notch above casual and fun. The service is prompt and efficient but can be cold at times. The food is consistently great, and can be inventive, such as ham served with brie and potatoes. The salads are great and they are generous with the beverages to keep you hydrated. I highly recommend getting off of Main Street to unwind!

High quality cuisine for very reasonable prices makes this a great alternative to the high priced restaurants on Main Street. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked good and the menu made it tough for me to decide which entree to choose. I went with the barbecued lamb shank which was actually a braised lamb shank. It was very tasty and plenty tender as you would expect from a good braised dish. The decor was good and the service was adequate. I would definitely come back here again to try the 4 other items that looked great on the menu.

Windy Ridge has a wonderful $2 Taco Tuesday. Atmosphere is wonderful and the outdoor patio is cozy. The bakery, though, is the best bakery in Park City. Stop in for any delicious sweet you might desire; they even have gluten free desserts! The bakery is just behind the restaurant overlooking the parking lot .

Came here with a large group during the Sundance Film Fest. The staff were very good and the whole group seemed impressed with their food and happy, especially the lovely lady who had broken her arm earlier in the day and was high as a kite on Vicodin. (no, not me this time!) I had the caprese salad and it was delicious, although not at all what I expected in fact two of us announced to the poor server that we had 'ordered the caprese, sorry' as he set it in front of us. It was greens, balsamic dressing, tiny plum tomatoes and little balls of the cheese. Tasty and quite refreshing. My husband and several diners really enjoyed the Ahi tuna, apparently that is a standout there. My mushroom tagliatelle was a little too sweet, almost like a mix between pasta and dessert. The onion rings were highly recommended by our cabbie so we shared some and they were indeed very good, however if given my druthers I would choose battered not bread crumbed rings. Definitely a great choice for large parties, some of whom were even larger when we left. (yes, me this time!)

My Mom's favorite place to go in Park City, it has charm and casual atmosphere. It really has good food. Recently, I went for lunch and found they have a new menu with nice sandwiches and salads. The place was packed too. However, what is lacking from Windy Ridge is a consistency with waitstaff. On occasion, I've really come into trouble with waitstaff forgetting my order and being rude to my family. I only give it a four now because the past time I went really changed my attitude with a friendlier waitstaff while it was so busy. DO NOT go for Taco tuesday's in the summer. You will never get your drinks. It took us, and the table next to us, 45 min to get served. All in all, Windy Ridge is better for lunch.

Weak dinner menu and overpriced. Mushroom soup was mostly cream with a hint of brownish color and minimal herbs. Seasonal vegetable in January were carrots, zucchini, broccoli... Seriously? Sweet potato fries were served at room temperature. A friend brought me here. I'll never set foot in this place again. Horrible.

I stopped here for a quick lunch. First off, where is the Windy Ridge? Is this not a converted warehouse in an industrial looking part of town? What? Not what I was expecting as for location. Super cute interior. I opted for a simple house salad and corn chowder. Both were super delicious. I am going to try to duplicate the southwestern corn chowder at home. Very, very good. Service from Sherry was great. Next time, I intend to have a whole meal. Highly recommended.

Interesting menu of fresh seafood, braised meats, hearty soups and pastas, and fresh salads, Windy RIdge Cafe is a great alternative to the overpriced and tourist filled main street offerings. Warm and Cozy atmosphere and a friendly staff contributed to an enjoyable dining experience after a day of skiing.

This restaurant failed on several levels for lunch. First, entered the restaurant from the back parking lot and walked to the front to be seated. Several of the wait staff were gathered chatting with the host. We were not greeted, had to ask to be seated. Second, the bus boy did a great job! He immediately came to our table and filled water glasses, too bad he could not take our order. We sat for 13 minutes waiting for someone to introduce themselves as the water and take our order. This same waiter I saw hanging out at the front entrance. Third, ordered the quiche and the sliders. On the plus side the little hamburgers were fine just expensive. The quiche must have been nuked more than once. The filling was a rubber consistency and the crust was hard as a rock. On the off chance the bakery was better, we walked to the bakery. Noticed the quiche in the case appeared better than the one served to us at the restaurant. We ordered some baked goods and they were fine. I suggest skip the cafe and serve yourself at the bakery.

Windy Ridge is another of Bill White's successes in Park City. This is THE lunch spot in town. It's on the medium to high price-range for lunch, but the atmosphere, menu, food quality (and quantity) is superb. Best of all, you don't have to go to Main St.

(4)Kaylie D.
(2)Jean T.
Used a 2 for 1 coupon at the Windy Ridge Cafe on a Wednesday night. It's away from Main St so a quieter atmosphere which we loved! Ordered a glass of wine and the waiter brought us some bread with their AMAZING homemade red pepper dip. I had their Mac and cheese (has bacon in it!!) with some sautéed veggies which were cooked perfectly. My husband had the mandarin chicken special which was out of this world! It had a spicy sweet sauce and was offset perfectly by a coconut cream risotto. The new chef came out and talked to all the diners in the restaurant to make sure they were happy with our meals. We definitely were and will come back again soon!

(1)Hailey B.
(3)Margaret B.
(5)Ryan T.
Service was very slow, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. .ehhhhh.. the chicken was way undercooked on hard bread, The french fries were cold and hard, they sucked! I WOULD NOT recommend this place. There are way better restaurants and options in Park city!!!!
(1)Heidi M.
(4)Dave B.

(4)todd b.

I had gone to Windy Ridge Café on recommendation from my wife, who's previous experience there had been stellar. We arrived late into the Lunch hours, and the restaurant was about 50% full. Unbeknownst to us, we were seated on a common wall opposite of the kitchen, and only a slatted window cover separated us from the kitchen via a window cut-out, letting the heavy, greasy smell of the kitchen permeate the area we sat in. Otherwise, the dining room appeared relaxed, casual and fairly quiet. The menu looks good, though unexpectedly limited. The wait staff is attentive, but somewhat lacking in customer rapport. I ordered the Crispy Salad (minus Garbanzo beans--I can't eat them until I'm off dialysis), and the Roast Beef and Horseradish Sandwich, with a side of Onion Rings. My wife ordered what she'd eaten previously, the Open-Faced Turkey Sandwich Platter. (See photos) The wait for our food was decent, and it arrived fresh and hot. The offerings looked excellent! My wife dug into her food, enjoying every morsel, as she had a couple of months previous. However, for me, the food failed to live up to expectations. To start, the salad had a dill sauce that was severely lacking in flavor. I had to add some black pepper just to get some sort of flavor profile from it. All the veggies were crisp and fresh, but again, the dressing was entirely bland. The lowlight of my meal was the Roast Beef Sandwich. While the beef was cooked nicely, the bread and meat were so saturated with grease (heavy) that I could barely eat half the offering. Additionally, the horseradish sauce that was put on the sandwich was also completely bland, and I actually looked to see if it was even on the sandwich! (NOT something anyone would expect from Horseradish!) Lastly, the au jous that accompanied the sandwich was tasteless, had no salt in it, and looked and tasted like slightly flavored water. The highlight of my meal was the onion rings! They were huge, crisp and delicious. But, on top of an already heavy-tasting sandwich, these too came across as unappetizing. Too bad my meal turned out like this. The descriptions looked outstanding, and I was looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately for my meal, the reality just didn't live up to the expectation. Had my food been more appealing, the price we paid for our lunch would have been well worth it. As it was, I feel my meal was too pricey, though my wife thought hers was a bargain. I doubt that I will dine at Windy Ridge Café again. There just isn't anything that would draw me back.

(4)Fred H.
Windy Ridge Cafe is a locals favorite. Adjacent Windy Ridge Bakery is also a locals favorite.

The food is always fresh and delicious. They have a bakery for yummy desserts. Great service. Easy parking.

(2)Erica P.
(3)Jillian S.
(3)Hannah Z.
(5)Kimberly P.
The food is fine but the service is hit or miss. The server was very rude and barely spoke to us until she saw that the yelp app was open on my phone. Then she was the nicest person in the world! I had the chicken panini and it was good but the flavors were quite strong. The sweet potato fries were very very good though!!!
(3)Candice H.
(5)Dan H.
(4)Risa O.
We love to come here and dine in but we just started coming for the carry out family meals. The food is always fresh and prices are reasonable
(4)Sara H.
LOVE their Family Take Out dinners Would recommend them in a heart beat
(4)Joe B.
Great service and delightful selection of comfort foods. Try the mushroom soup and corn chowder.
(5)Maren H.
(5)Jessica G.
This place is delicious. we went a couple months ago and it seemed a bit more expensive then we remembered, but still delicious.
(4)Michael Ann N.
Love this place and normally that would be 5 stars but would not recommend Taco Tuesday. Food quality only fair, and portions are too small.
(2)Scott D.
Taco Tuesday was great! Good eats and atmosphere. Joel rocked and I will be back next trip.
(4)Stephanie D.
Taco tuesday is the jam! Went with a group of 12. there is definitly a long wait for a group that size since it's no reservations on tursdays. Outside would have taken forever.... but worth the wait! Had a blast, service was awesome, atmosphere was chill
(4)Jen R.
Corn chowder was unbelievable. Explosive flavor & made my tastebuds dance. Service was on point. We even had a quick visit from the chef. The only thing I would suggest is improving the coleslaw. Otherwise, restaurant exceeded all expectations.
(4)Shannon L.
(5)Ian F.
Had the Utah red trout entree last night, by far one of the best I've had in a while!! So much so that I'm going back again tonight!
(4)Leslie E.
I'm still in Utah - having gotten myself a nice 'boot bruise' which trust me isn't much fun. So I've been keeping myself interested by watching TV, answering email, Skyping with anyone who calls - and eating out. So tonight we decided to try Windy Ridge Cafe. The deciding factor was a 2 for 1 entrée offer from the Bill White Group - that and the no reservations required vibe. The restaurant is not on Main Street. Which means that you are going to go by car or bus - which in Park City is 'off the beaten track'. This probably keeps the prices reasonable - and on a Wednesday night - the crowds away. The menu entrees run between $20 to $30 dollars - with my Utah Red Trout crusted with almonds was just $23. Nice price - and it came with 2 sides, veggies and my choice of potatoes. My fish was a bit overcooked - but the Sweet Potato Fries made up for any lack on the fish. Other entrees at the table included a Ruben Sandwich, a French Dip (bread was gummy - but the meat was great), pesto salmon over linguine and my favorite on the table - a mushroom crusted Sirloin which was seriously yummy. Desserts - while relatively low-priced (just $5.50 each) were ok - but honestly nothing to write home about. Bottom line - casual atmosphere is great, food is good to a bit better than good, but dessert is better eaten at home (sorry Windy Ridge).
(3)Bobby W.
Food is very good, comfort food. Nothing fancy but very tasty. Service is just okay though. Our server was very friendly but very slow with everything and the restaurant wasn't busy at all while we were there. Nice stop after a day of driving and hiking through the mountains.

We really like the food here but just had a hideous experience waiting for a table outdoors....hostess sat a bigger party and blew us off. Guess it is all about the mighty buck.

(4)Ryan M.
Arrived at 3:20 pm and all they have Is an in between menu until dinner at five, Which has all of about eight items on it. First time ever to a restaurant in my life that doesn't serve a full menu during the day or cover their lunch menu up until dinner, won't be back!!!!
(1)Miguel R.
(3)Jennefer T.
(4)E G.
(4)Jen O.

Great bloody marys. The lunches was also good. Prices were reasonable for Park City.

(2)Lory P.

Came here on a Tuesday night during a cross-country trip to California and treated my fellow travelers to a fulfilling dinner at very little cost. This was a Yelp find, through and through. After a long day's journey from Denver, we were eager to sit down at a table and enjoy a real meal. We got what we needed at Windy Ridge Café. Decent drinks and exceedingly friendly service in a comfortable environment make this a great medium-range dining destination. Even though it was clear Tuesdays are their big night of the week, we still felt very attended to by the service staff. Our dinner was delicious and at such a steal: they provide a bar of garnishes and well-prepared salsas to indulge in while waiting for your food, and we left feeling full, but not gluttonous. I couldn't have asked for a better place to take people to and pick up the bill. Some of the more recent reviews worry me that my critique might be a bit tardy, but I'd suggest that Tuesdays are still worth dropping in for. If for some reason I'm ever back in Park City on a Tuesday, odds are I'll be back. Who knows, it could happen!

(4)Michelle B.
Wonderful patio atmosphere. Corn chowder was superb. Service was splendid. You must try the white sangria!! The restaurant was off the beaten path... Great for a quiet meal. Definitely recommend!!

OMG. Southwestern corn chowder! thats all I have to say... ALSO.. they have great deals between 3 and 5 PM during the winter...
(5)Charles S.
Sooooooo. Gooooood!!! I went with a group of 4. We each got different meals. Everything was amazing!!
(5)Becky B.
Excellent service from every person we have met here! Plus the Ahi tuna appetizer rocks my world.

Great food. Lots of choices and the staff is terrific. A bit hidden if you aren't familiar with our town. Worth seeking out.

Eggs Benedict ONLY in the summer...Food is really good here. All about the flavor, spice, and all that good stuff. Good service. Corn Chowder soup is spicy. Cream of Mushroom Soup is heaven.
(4)Yvonne Y.

(4)Leila B.
Went here for lunch. It was VERY good. Would definitely come back next time we are in town. The clementine cocktail I ordered was so delicious I'm going to try to recreate it at home. Definitely recommend.
(5)Ned S.
(5)Chris O.
(5)John O.
(4)Christie B.
(4)Elaine O.

(4)CJ L.
Horrible.
(1)Julie D.
(5)David R.
